The Process
Our design process is thoughtfully tailored to each project, guiding you from the initial conversation through the final details. While every home and scope of work is unique, the following outlines the process for a full service design.
- 01.Discovery
We conduct an initial consultation to get to know you, your lifestyle, your goals, and your vision for the space to determine the right scope of services for your project.
- 02.Project Scope & Planning
After the consultation is complete, we create an agreement that defines the project scope, timeline, budget, and deliverables so expectations are clear before design work begins.
- 03.Conceptual & Space Planning
Establish the overall design direction through inspiration, mood boards, layouts, and spatial planning that balance function with aesthetics.
- 04.Design Development & Material Selection
Curate finishes, materials, colors, lighting, and fixtures to create a cohesive design, presented through a visual presentation and physical samples for your review and approval.
- 05.Design Documentation & Finalization
Finalize floor plans, interior elevations, and a project specification binder documenting all approved design decisions to clearly communicate the design intent to your contractor before construction begins.
- 06.Procurement & Project Coordination
We provide material estimates for client approval, then manage the purchasing and delivery coordination of design materials. Throughout this phase we will regularly communicate with trades and conduct regular site meetings to help ensure the design is executed as intended.
- 07.Installation & Styling
After construction is complete, we bring the space together through furniture placement, art, textiles, lighting, and finishing touches that add warmth, depth, and personality.
- 08.Final Walkthrough
We conclude with a final review of the completed project, ensuring all agreed-upon elements have been thoughtfully executed and the finished space reflects the original vision and your expectations.
